Welcome to Step Out in Downtown Aquarium!
We walk with our 2014 Walk Ambassador!
Please welcome the Step Out 2014 Walk Ambassador, Annika Reeder-Holman! Annika will be leading the Denver Step Out excitement as a Youth Ambassador, Red Strider, Champion to Stop Diabetes and Team Captain! Annika is 10 years old and has been living and thriving with type 1 diabetes for four years. You can learn more about Annika by checking out her ADA Youth Ambassador Video here.

Check out why Red Strider Annika is fundraising for the Denver Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes this year: "I am the captain of Team Annika and a Champion to Stop Diabetes, having raised almost $2,000! The money you and I can raise will go to Colorado-based programs like Camp Colorado, a one week sleep away camp at Eagle Lake for children with type 1 diabetes. Camp Colorado, is fun for me to go to because I can be like any other kid at a summer camp and have fun doing the Vometron, the Blob, waterslide, human foosball, and gaga ball. Please donate today and hopefully we can save some lives!"
The Denver Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes is a one-day signature fundraising and awareness walk benefiting the American Diabetes Association. Walkers have the choice of walking a 5K route or running a 10K route. Every dollar raised through Step Out plays an important role in supporting the Association’s mission: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. Together we can Stop Diabetes. One step at a time.
Registration: Online registration will be open through Friday, October 31 at 9am. Anyone wishing to register after that date can do so the morning of the walk on November 1.
Fundraising: There is no fundraising minimum to participate, however this is a fundraising event and we encourage all walkers to raise money or make a contribution to the best of their ability.
