Learn How to Complete the Triple Play!

Step 1: Download the Step Out Facebook application
Visit your Step Out Center and click on the "Facebook App" button located on the right hand side of the page in the middle. From there, take one of the following actions to get you $260 and beyond!

• Get the Word Out: On the application homepage, you can select a status update to send right now, or you can write your own.
• Scheduled Status Updates: Click the "Scheduled Status updates" tab on the top of the application to pre-set certain updates to be sent out for you. Set it and forget it!
• Donate your profile picture to Step Out: This allows you to change your profile picture to the Step Out logo. Directions can be found here.
• Share a Step Out video: Click the "Share a video" tab along the top of the application to share a short, but inspiriting Step Out video.

Step 2: Send 26 emails through your Step Out Center
Visit your Step Out Center and click the email tab. There you can send personal appeals to your friends, family and coworkers. We’ve made it easy!

• Use a template: Click the "Use a template" link underneath the subject line, then select "Solicitation". There are five different messages there for you to customize or send as is!
• Select a stationery: Scroll to the bottom of the page and select one of the five different designs for your email.
• Choose your audience: Some people find it easy to copy and paste 26 (or more!) email addresses of your closest friends and family members into the "to:" line. You can also upload your address book or choose from existing contacts.

Step 3: Raise $260+ Online
By completing steps 1 and 2, you should be even closer to raising $260 online! But if you need an extra push:

• Make a personal donation: Support the person you know best yourself! Make a donation to your own efforts and show your donors that you are personally invested in the fight to Stop Diabetes.
• Set up your short URL and hang posters: Visit the "Personal Page" tab of your Step Out Center and set up your short URL at the top of the page. This will make it easy for people to find your page and donate.
• Add a badge to your email signature: Though 26 emails should be sent through your Step Out Center, you can also take advantage of the space in your email signature so others can make a donation. Find instructions by visiting the "Fundraising Tools" section of your Step Out Center and scrolling down to "Add badges to your Emails."
